The Banded Possum Wrasse or Wetmorella Nigropinnata is also known as the Pygmy Possum Wrasse or Arrowhead Wrasse that is endemic to the Indonesian waters. It has an arrowhead-like shape with a deep rustic coloration. Both male and female wrasses of this specie display similar coloration. However, the male yellow Banded Possum Wrasse features display a better color intensity than its female counterpart during courtship.The Banded Possum Wrasse requires a tank with a tight lid to prevent escapes, as well as plenty of rock work for hiding.
