The Umbrella Leather, Sarcophyton sp., features a mushroom cup shaped stalk with a curved crown and numerous extending polyps. They have a leathery touch and lack hard exoskeletons. They are best housed with moderate to high lighting and moderate to high waterflow. Sometimes they secrete a toxic fluid so good water filtration is necessary. The Umbrella Leather coral is easy to maintain making it a great choice for beginner and expert aquarists alike.

Received last week and it is a beautiful addition to my tank. At first I didn't know if I got the right thing, as it was closed. But after a few hours, it opened up and it's full beauty came out! I tell everyone it looks like a mini aquatic baobab tree. Will be ordering another.

I am so pleased with this coral, it is absolutely beautiful, it was well packed for transport and as soon as I put in my tank it took right off, my 6 line wrasse loves to hang out on it.
