The Bicolor Goatfish, Parupeneus barberinoides, also known as the Dash and Dot, Half and Half Goatfish, and Swarthy-Headed Goatfish, features a red and white striped frontal half and a yellow and white back half of its body. The Bicolor Goatfish is really a stunning addition to any home aquarium. The Bicolor Goatfish can grow up to 10 inches over its lifetime but is imported much smaller and needs a tank of at least 50 gallons at first. It is a peaceful fish that is best housed with other non-aggressive fish. They also prefer a thick sand bed to sift through the substrate in search of food. The Bicolor Goatfish will feed on a varied carnivorous diet.
