The Monster Shrimp Goby (Tomiyamichthys oni) is a stunning fish species, native to the Northwest Pacific Ocean and commonly found in Southern Japan, measures around 4 inches (10 cm) in size. With its white body adorned with light brown blotches, the Monster Shrimp Goby thrives in reef or fish-only tanks that offer rocky hiding spots and a minimum sandbed depth of two inches (5 cm). This sand sifter feeds on small benthic invertebrates and zooplankton and requires a meaty diet comprising enriched brine shrimp, mysis, finely chopped fish or shrimp flesh, and other frozen carnivore foods. Remember to avoid housing it with aggressive tankmates and provide it with 2-3 feedings per day for optimal care. They are reef safe and require a minimum tank size of 30 gallons.
