The Sunburst Anthias, Serranocirrhitus latus, is hermaphroditic meaning all are born females, and when needed the dominant female turns into male. Though they are one of the few Anthias species that does not display sexual dimorphism. They feature a blend of purple, pink, and yellow throughout its body with attractive bright yellow lines around the face and translucent fins and tail. They can be kept as a mated pair, or in a small school of females. Avoid keeping two males in the same tank, as it can lead to extreme aggression.

They are hardy and very peaceful, perfect for a reef tank setting with plenty of live rock. Diet should include a variety of a steady supply of copepods, frozen mysis and vitamin enriched brine shrimp, as well as high quality flake foods 3-5 times daily.

This is in my opinion the most beautiful and hardy anthias available. It is hot pink and orange. They ship very well, very rarely a DOA with these. Saltwaterfish.com had the lowest price for this fish over anywhere else I have seen. It is super healthy and eats frozen Mysis and brine and the pods that live in my rocks. I HIGHLY recommend this fish, keep singly or in a group of 3 or more depending of size of your tank!
