The Chrysurus Angelfish, Pomacanthus chrysurus, sometimes known as the Goldtail Angelfish and the Ear Spot Angelfish, featuring a deep brown/black body with vertical white striping and a yellow/brown forehead splotch. It has a vibrantly bright yellow tail and blue bands across its head, belly, and anal fin.
Like many large Angelfish, the coloration will change dramatically from the juvenile stage to the adult stage.
They are not reef safe as they will nip at stony and soft corals, sessile invertebrates, tunicates, sponges and clam mantles. Diet should include high quality frozen fish foods consisting of varied vegetables, spirulina, marine algae, mysis and brine shrimp, and high quality angelfish preparations containing spongiform products, 3 times daily.
