The Black-Tailed Dascyllus, Dascyllus melanurus, is also known as the Blacktail Damsel, Blacktail Humbug, Black Tail Humbug, Blacktail Dascyllus, Black-Tailed Footballer, Four Striped Damsel, and Fourstripe Damsel. They are generally found in the Western Pacific. The Black-Tailed Dascyllus features four characteristic thick black stripes stretching vertically down its shimmering silver body. Like most damsels, the Black-Tailed Dascyllus makes a great beginner fish for its hardiness, small size, and versatile appetite. They are, however, increasingly aggressive as they grow older and are best kept in a community tank with other aggressive fish.
