The Yellow Stripe Clingfish (Diademichthys lineatus) is endemic to the reefs of Indonesia, where it hides among corals and rocks in search of small crustaceans and seeks shelter from predators. They may be black or red with horizontal yellow stripes running the length of their entire body. They are carnivores, feeding on zooplankton, isopods and copepods, also occasionally feeding on parasitic mollusks that harm species of coral. They reach a maximum size of 2 inches and can be kept in any aquarium of at least 10 gallons. They are carnivorous and should be fed a variety of meaty foods, such as mysis, krill or brine shrimp. They are sensitive to major fluctuation in water parameters and should be housed in a stable, established tank with peaceful tankmates.
