The Aeoliscus Strigatus is a shrimpfish, also known as razorfish that belongs to the five small species of marine fishes of the Centriscidae family. It is a commonly found in the tropical parts of the Indo-Pacific Ocean. A shrimpfish is generally a flattened fish with long snouts and sharp-edged bellies. This is a transparent shrimpfish with thin, dark stripe to its length. Sharing resemblance with a shrimp, it is known for a very coordinated swimming pattern. A shrimpfish generally swims heading downwards toward its head. It grows to a maximum size of 7.9 inches. It is a peaceful fish that can survive in a 50-gallon aquarium with rocks, macro and micro algae. However, it is advised to keep these shrimpfish with species like pipefish and seahorses for easy sustenance. They prefer to live in water temperature between 72?F and 78?F.
