The Burgess Hybrid Butterfly is a hybrid of the Tinkeri (Chaetodon tinkeri) and the Burgess' Butterflyfish (Chaetodon burgessi). As is the case for many hybrids, they are a rare find among the marine life trade. They have a predominantly white body with gray or black spots, a black section reaching diagonally from their dorsal fin to their anal fin, and a yellow or grey strip intersecting their eye. They can grow up to 6 inches in length and would require other peaceful tank mates. Their diet should be a mixture of small pieces of crustaceans, meat, and seaweed. Monitor in reef tanks as many butterflyfish can nip at soft corals or LPS.
