The Bumblebee Goby, Amblyeleotris wheeleri, is also known as the Bumble Bee Goby, Wheeler's Goby, Wheeler's Watchman Goby, Wheeler's Shrimp Goby, Gorgeous Prawn Goby, and the Bumble Bee Shrimp Goby. It features a red and white/yellow striped body. This goby is sometimes said to "buzz" around the tank giving it its name. Like other Goby species, the Bumblebee Goby will often create its own burrow in the sand - sometimes these burrows are shared in a symbiotic relationship with the Pistol Shrimp. Therefore, a tank with plenty live rock, a sandy substrate, and a tightly sealed lid to prevent escapes is recommended. The Bumblebee Goby will eat a carnivorous diet and is overall well-suited to a community reef tank.
Love this little guy, He found a home under a rock and comes out and just looks around. I like how fast he is to retreat.
