The Black Combtooth Blenny (Ecsenius namiyei) has many different names, including Tribal Blenny, Yellowtail Black Blenny, and Namive's Blenny. Their body is a dark black, with some specimens having blue lines on their face or yellow tails. They can be found among the shallow reefs between the Philippines and Indonesia, scavenging for algae and seaweed. They perch on ledges and rocks, and may create dens or burrows under large rock structures. They reach a maximum size of 4 inches and should be housed in a tank no smaller than 30 gallons. While they may eat mysis, they should be fed a primarily herbivorous diet.
