The Banded Zebra Flounder (Zebrias fasciatus), also known as the Zebra Sole or Many-Banded Sole features a distinctive black and white striped ovular body. This species is relatively peaceful and will spend much of its time along the sand bed, therefore it is suggested that you keep it in a tank with a thick sandy substrate. Occasionally, the Zebra Flounder may act aggressively towards smaller fish and inverts if it feels threatened making it a reef safe with caution species. They should be fed a variety of meaty foods including crustaceans and/or deshelled mollusks. They reach a maximum size of 10 inches and should not be kept with overly aggressive fish that may nip at its fins.
