The Yellow Head Fimbriated Eel, Gymnothorax fimbriatus, is one of the most striking eel species that can be kept safely in the home aquarium. Their vibrant yellow heads, white splotched body, and sharp teeth make for a menacing figure. They are carnivores and do not make great additions to reef aquariums and should be kept exclusively for experienced aquarists.
Tanks of at least 125 gallons with a tightly sealed lid to prevent escapes and plenty of live rock hiding places are necessary. They will eat small inverts and some small fish so be cautious with what you choose to put in the tank with it. Additionally, feeder tongs can be a useful tool for feeding this eel.
If cared for properly, these are an incredibly elegant species that make for a beautiful centerpiece to any aquarium.

The yellow headed moray eel arrived in excellent condition. Eating thawed shrimp on a daily basis. It is very active at night and gets along with my dwarf yellow eel that i also bought from here as well.
