With its beautiful colored body, the Six Lined Soapfish makes a captivating addition to any tank. The Six Lined Soapfish is aggressive fish and should be kept with other large fish. With its unique pattern and design, it makes a beautiful addition to any aquarium. The Six Lined Soapfish is carnivore and its diet should include all kinds of meaty foods such as krill, shrimp, small fish (guppies, goldfish, etc), squid, clams and shrimp. It usually hides beneath ledges and small caves during the day while foraging at night, so it is necessary to add plenty of rocks and hiding places in the aquarium. The Six Lined Soapfish has toxin-producing glands that may harm other fishes present in the tank. This toxin, called grammistin, is used to dissuade predators and is given off when the fish is frightened or annoyed. Be sure not to add the shipping water to the aquarium. It should be kept singly or in true mated pairs.

Beautiful Six Lined Soapfish swims in out of the rock formation in the saltwater fish tank. Healthy and energetic after acclimation.
