The Red Cigar Wrasse, Hologymnosus rhodonotus, or the Red Striped Cigar Wrasse, is a horizontally red striped wrasse with a clean white-yellow body. Often the rear of the Red Striped Cigar Wrasse turns into a light gradient of yellow. The Red Cigar Wrasse, like many wrasses, requires some amount of rocks and crevices for it to hide. It is also recommended that the Red Cigar Wrasse be housed in a tank with a tightly secured lid to prevent escape.
