The Long-Legged Spiny Lobster (Panulirus longipes) can be found among seaward reefs and rocky-outcroppings in the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They have a brown or green carapaces with faded orange or blue tips on their long, spindly legs. They feed on a variety of foods, including fish, smaller crustaceans and mollusks. They reach a maximum size of 10-12 inches and should be kept in a large fish-only system with large display fish. They should have plenty of live rock to hide among and should be fed carnivorous preparations on a daily basis.
