The Goldspotted Rabbitfish (Siganus punctatus), also known as the Goldspotted Spinefoot, is found among the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They have a dark brown or silver body with golden-orange spots. They can gain a mottled, lighter coloration when stressed. They reach a maximum size of 12 inches and should be kept in a tank of at least 180 gallons, as they require plenty of space to swim. They can be kept in reef aquariums, and though primarily herbivorous, though they should be monitored around small invertebrates and crustaceans. Their dorsal spikes are capable of injecting venom akin to a bee sting, so one should be cautious when handling or placing hands in the aquarium.
