False Personifer Angelfish

Chaetodontoplus meredithii

(0 Reviews)

The False Personifer (Chaetoodontoplus merdithii) or Blue Masked Angelfish often has a solid black body, yellow fins and a white halo around their face. Only the males develop the deep blue mask from which they derive their common name. They frequently travel in pairs through the reefs of southwestern Australia in search of food. As is true for most in the Chaetodontoplus family, they are known to nip at sponges, tunicates and soft corals, so use caution when housing C. merdithii in a reef aquarium.
