The Barrier Reef Chromis, Chromis nitida, is native to the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. Its small body features a gold back and silver body bisected by a black line. It is a hardy, peaceful, easy to care for, and reef safe fish making it excellent for almost any aquarium environment. It is not uncommon for a Barrier Reef Chromis to live ten years or more. They can also be kept in large groups and will school. The Barrier Reef Chromis eats an omnivorous diet.
