The Banggai Cardinalfish, native to Indonesia's Banggai Islands, thrives in calm waters among seagrass and coral reefs, making it perfect for reef tanks. Peaceful and reef-safe, it grows up to 3 inches and lives around 5 years, feeding on crustaceans and zooplankton. Best kept in small groups with compatible tank mates like gobies, it requires tank setups resembling its natural habitat with hiding spots and moderate water flow. Also known as Longfin or Kaudern's Cardinalfish, it adds elegance to aquariums with proper care.

Cardinals are probably the most peaceful fish out there. I was very surprised when I received this one. He was the biggest banner I have ever seen. He was the largest fish in the tank that housed him. Bigger and still friendly. Good thing about when they are larger, they don’t get picked on.
