The White Patched Anemone Shrimp, Periclimenes brevicarpalis, also known as the Glass Anemone Shrimp or just Anemone Shrimp features a true translucent body with scattered white splotches across its body. Generally, the White Patched Anemone Shrimp will form a symbiotic relationship with a single anemone, and will acclimate faster if there is an anemone in the tank. Usually it will share its food with the anemone and uses its host for protection as it is quite small.
It is possible for male and female White Patched Anemone Shrimps to be differentiated as males have more spots and are generally larger. As they can be small, it is not advised to house with large or predatory fish that may make a quick meal out of the shrimp. The White Patched Anemone Shrimp is easy to care for, absolutely stunning, and hardy once acclimated.
