The Two Spot Blenny, Ecsenius bimaculatus, also known as the Twospot Blenny, features two characteristic black splotches on either side of its stomach. This unique appearance is coupled with the Two Spot Blenny being peaceful, hardy, and active making it a great fish to care for. They thrive best in tanks of at least 10 gallons with plenty of live rock hiding places. The Two Spot Blenny is an algae eater so it can be a productive tank member in helping with algae control problems. The Two Spot Blenny should not be housed with aggressive for or fish of its same species, unless they are a mated pair which we cannot guarantee. This is one of the best fish for beginner and expert aquarists alike because it is unique in its beauty, easy to care for, and a beneficial tank member.
