The Longjaw Wrasse, Cheilinus sp., also known as the Cocktail Wrasse, comes in many different colors including red and brown. Red is the most common coloration for the Longjaw Wrasse. The Longjaw Wrasse is named for its thin, protruding snout. Adult Longjaw Wrasses have elaborate and unique patternings across their wrasse-shaped bodies. Like most wrasses, ample hiding spots should be found within the tank, as well as a substrate of sand.
