The Indigo Dottyback (Pseudochromis sankeyi x fridmani) is a hybrid between the Orchid Dottyback (P. fridmani) and the Striped Dottyback (P. sankeyi). They are a lavender or indigo color with hints of neon blue and black stripes along the face and ventral side. They are among the most peaceful and mild of dottybacks, being able to live in a school or small group. They require a minimum of 30 gallons for a single or pair, with significant live rock to hide among. They may be territorial towards tank mates when other fish approach their burrows, but are ultimately peaceful towards others. They are reef safe and are carnivores, requiring a meaty diet, typically consisting of mysis, krill or brine.

Sleek little fellow that minds his business. Hides most of the time but definitely comes out when it's feeding time. Minds his own business and gets along with all my fish.
