The Hammer Coral, Euphyllia parancora, also known as the Anchor Coral, features hammer or anchor shaped tentacles similar to the Torch Coral's. It has brightly colored green, tan, and brown polyps often with neon yellow or green tips that especially shine under actinic lighting. The Hammer Coral is most active during the day and generally retreats into its skeleton at night. A photosynthetic energy-obtainer, the Hammer Coral will also benefti from trace element supplements. It is best kept in a tank with moderate water flow and lighting and should not be kept near other corals due to its stinging nematocysts. If the Hammer Coral gets attacked by any organism, be sure to attend to it quickly as it can cause an infection for other corals. Hammer Coral will propagate easily in the tank so long as it is kept in the proper conditions. Hammer Corals are one of the most popular types of coral due to their unique beauty. This particular specimen features metallic colors.
NOTE: This specimen contains a single frag head.

After receiving this and putting it in my tank it took no time for it to open up and start branching out. For a frag it was a good size and I love the way it looks under my actinic lights. Will be getting more for sure.

I am so impressed by the size of this coral! For a frag, even! It has two heads on it and would be no less that $30 at my local pet store. So happy with this purchase, that I am already wanting to buy more!
