The Chili Coral, Nephthyigorgia sp., is a popular soft coral. Its exotic red coloration somewhat resembles a chili pepper. There are not too many corals out there with this unique of shape and color making the Chili Coral an excellent choice for many tanks.

It is non-photosynthetic requiring low to moderate lighting, low moderate flow, and needs supplemental feedings of carnivorous foods. They acquire the rest of their nutrients through filter feeding water flow.

Make sure there is ample space between the Chili Coral and other corals to not interfere with its growth. The Chili Coral makes the perfect centerpiece for the reef aquarium.

What a beautiful coral. When it opens up it is gorgeous! It adds such a bright color to the reef.
