The Cerith Snail, Cerithium sp., is a wonderful scavenger snail that will devour diatoms and algae in the home aquarium. They are best kept in tanks with plenty of live rock, a thick sand bed, and plenty of algae. As nocturnal feeders, the Cerith Snail is one of the most popular snails for their algae-eating and sand-sifting ability.
