The Blue Hippo Tang Yellow Belly should be offered plenty of marine-based algae or seaweed that helps in strengthening immune system, reduce aggression and improve their overall health. It is more susceptible to lateral line disease, fin erosion, ich and other skin parasites than many other fish.  When frightened, the yellow belly blue hippo tang, particularly juveniles, hide behind live rocks or within branching corals.
