Banner (Banggai) Cardinal - Captive Bred

The Banggai Cardinalfish, native to Indonesia's Banggai Islands, thrives in calm waters among seagrass and coral reefs, making it perfect for reef tanks. Peaceful and reef-safe, it grows up to 3 inches and lives around 5 years, feeding on crustaceans and zooplankton. Best kept in small groups with compatible tank mates like gobies, it requires tank setups resembling its natural habitat with hiding spots and moderate water flow. Also known as Longfin or Kaudern's Cardinalfish, it adds elegance to aquariums with proper care.

The Banggai Cardinalfish is native to the calm, sheltered waters among seagrass beds and coral reefs of the Banggai Islands, offering valuable guidance for recreating its habitat in a home aquarium.

If you don't have Banggai cardinals in your tank, then you're missing out. These fish are extremely calm and get along with all members of the tank. I know it says they are slow eaters but the cardinals I have don't have an issue going after the food I feed them.
