Community compatibility is straightforward. They ignore plants, ignore most tankmates, and bring no aggression to the dynamic. The only real consideration is their nocturnal rhythm: their most active, exploratory behavior happens after lights-out, so early risers and night owls both get different views of the same fish. Supplemental feeding with sinking pellets, zucchini, or cucumber keeps them in good condition and prevents the kind of hungry opportunism that leads to plant damage.
