The Seychelles Butterfly (Chaetodon madagaskariensis), also known as the Madagascar Butterflyfish, is a beautiful species popular among saltwater aquarium enthusiasts. This species is native to the Indian Ocean, specifically the waters around the Seychelles and Madagascar. Growing up to 6 inches they should be kept in a minimum tank size of 75 gallons. They should not be kept in tanks with corals or small inverts as they will see them as possible food. Feed them 1-2 times per day a diet of meaty saltwater foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, krill, and varied reef diets.
