The Scribbled Rabbitfish (Siganus doliatus), also known as the Barred Spinefoot, can be found among reefs and lagoons of the western Pacific Ocean. They have a beautiful yellow/ green body with blue lines and markings covering their face and sides. They have two notable bars, one intersecting their eye, and the other behind the gills. They reach a maximum size of 10 inches and should be fed a balanced diet of carnivorous preparations as well as seaweed or macro algae. Though considered reef safe, they can nip at corals when hungry, so it is recommended to ensure they are well fed. They do best if kept with fish of similar size and temperament. Use caution when placing hand in aquarium, as rabbitfish have venomous dorsal spines, capable of producing similar reaction to a bee sting.
