With its beautiful pale gray-green colored body along with vivid pink and blue markings, the Exquisite Wrasse makes a beautiful addition to any tank. It features a black spot at the base of the tail, which makes it a different fish in the tank. Coloration can vary, depending on maturity and geographic region. The Exquisite Wrasse grows up to 5 inches and needs to be kept in a tank not less than 35 gallon along with many hiding places. Since it does not pick on corals or invertebrates, the Exquisite Wrasse becomes an ideal fish for a reef tank. It is known to jump out of the tank, so it should be kept in a tight fitting canopy tank. Its diet should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, vitamin enriched frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods along with a high quality marine flake and marine pellet food. The Exquisite Wrasse is peaceful in nature but becomes aggressive with the same species fishes. It is quite easy to use and makes good choice for a beginner aquarist. The Exquisite Wrasse thrives well in a temperature range of 72-78 degrees Fahrenheit and pH of 8.1-8.4. It needs a tank with many hiding places so that it can take refuge there when threatened or stressed. The Exquisite Wrasse can usually be found around rubble piles and rockwork and should have plenty in the tank to retreat to.
