The Ruby Longfin Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus rubeus) is also known as the Social Wrasse. They can be found among the reefs and lagoons of the Indo-Pacific, where they seek shelter among the coral and rocks. Their body is a vibrant orange or red, separated from their white underbelly by a bright blue stripe, with yellow ends on their fins. They feed on a variety of invertebrates, primarily small crustaceans, though they will feed on small worms and mollusks as well. They do best in bonded pairs and reach a maximum size of 3 inches - Given their size, they do well in established reef aquariums and should not be kept with larger predatory fish. They should be fed carnivorous preparations multiple times a day and require plenty of live rock to hide among.
