The Green Glass Button Coral, Cynarina lacrymalis, also known as the Meat Polyp Coral, Doughnut Coral, Tooth Coral, Cynarina Doughnut Coral, Teary Eye Coral, Flat Brain Coral and Knob Coral, is a great beginner coral for its ease of care and interesting morphology. It features a single, large, translucent polyp that may easily rupture. It is peaceful and best kept on a thick sandy substrate. They will readily take a carnivorous diet on top of their photosynthetic habits. The Green Glass Button Coral is a wonderful addition to most tanks as it is incredibly flexible in what it is able to be kept with.
