The Blue Carpet Anemone is commonly referred as the Giant Carpet Anemone, Giant Anemone, Giant Blue Carpet Anemone, Saddle Carpet Anemone, Saddle Anemone, Haddon?s Anemone, or Saddleback Anemone. The Blue Carpet Anemone features short, pointed tentacles with an effective sting that makes it a unique specimen in a tank. It often serves as a host for numerous Clownfishes including A. chrysopterus, and A. polymnus, Amphiprion clarkii, A. sebae, A. akindynos, A. chrysogaster etc. The Blue Carpet Anemone is considered a giant anemone that can grow up to 10" inches, so it is better to keep it in tank of at least 70 gallons. Water condition should be maintained with 72-78ø F, dKH 8-12, pH 8.1-8.4 for its continued good health. The Blue Carpet Anemone is needed to be kept within a tank this high intensity lights and excellent water flow. We advise you to maintain the aquarium with a sand bed and plenty of rocks as it likes burying its foot within the sand and sticks to the aquarium glass base or rockwork. The Blue Carpet Anemone requires excellent water parameters, lighting and water flow. It should be kept in mind that the Blue Carpet Anemone needs to be fed on a regular basis. You can feed the Blue Carpet Anemone with the food including uncooked shrimp, chunks of fresh fish, and many other meaty marine foods.
