The Yellowtail Poma Angelfish, Chaetodontoplus caeruleopunctatus, also known as the Black Velvet Angelfish, Yellowtail Poma, or Gray Poma, is a medium-sized angel that features a grey/black body with a yellow dorsal and tail fin. The Yellowtail Poma Angel is shy, a poor reef dweller and can be found nipping at corals and clams. This species is one of the less aggressive angelfish and can be kept in a community aquarium. Shy initially, it will become bolder as it acclimates. Smaller and non-aggressive fish like Cardinalfish, Clownfish, Gobies, Tilefish, Damsels, Butterflyfish, fairy Basslets, Wrasses, etc. will be good tank mates.  They will grow up to 8 inches and should be kept in a tank no smaller than 80 gallons. The Yellowtail Poma Angelfish requires plenty of live rock to promote algae growth, which they will graze on. They are a hardy fish, and should also be fed a diet of Spirulina, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp and various meaty shrimps. The Yellowtail Poam Angelfish will thrive in temperatures in range of 72-79?? F and a pH of 8.1-8.4.

Currently Yellowtail Poma Angelfish does not have any reviews.
