The Rhinopias, Rhinopias sp., are among of the most beautiful scorpionfish of the sea. It features a stunning yellow body with countless frills, fins, and cirri truly resembling a leafy reef. They are masters of disguise. Still a rarity to collect, these scorpionfish can grow to a maximum size of 4 inches. and should be kept in a tank of at least 55 gallons. These semi-aggressive scorpionfish can be kept with a couple of small fish and inverts. They are docile and cannot stay peacefully with more aggressive larger fish. These Red/Purple Rhinopias can survive on a carnivorous diet of Mysis and brine shrimp and a few chunks of fresh seafood. Since they are venomous, a lot of care should be paid while housing them and should be reserved for experienced aquarists only.
