The Tube Anemone,
Cerianthus sp., is aptly named due to its tube-like appearance. It is best housed in a reef aquarium with a soft and deep substrate allowing it to burrow down. Its colors vary from tan, pank, purple, and bits of fluorescent green which can really shine under actinic light. They also prefer tanks with plenty of live rock, moderate to dim lighting, and regular flow. As the Tube Anemone is non-photosynthetic, it requires regular feeding of a carnivorous diet including brine or mysis shrimp, fish, zooplankton, and other prepared carnivorous foods. It will also filter feed directly from the water column. Like many anemones, the Tube Anemone has stinging tentacles so be careful when handling or placing near other corals. Overall, the Tube Anemone is incredibly beautiful when cared for correctly and housed under actinic lights as its colors really show out.
NOTE: The 'super' designation means this is the most outstanding specimen we have in stock.
