The Sunset Fairy Wrasse, Cirrhilabrus pylei, also known as Pyle's Fairy Wrasse, or the Blue Margin Fairy Wrasse, is a vibrantly colored fairy wrasse that, unsurprisingly, resembles a beautiful sunset to some. Like most other wrasses, the Sunset Fairy Wrasse should have ample rocks and nooks for it to hide in and also be housed in a tank with a tightly secured lid to prevent jumping. The Sunset Fairy Wrasse can get territorial with other wrasses so keep this in mind when finding tank partners. The Sunset Fairy Wrasse is also hermaphroditic meaning that their genders are fluid. Usually one male is dominant over a small group of females. If that male dies, the next largest female will morph into a male and assume leadership over the group. The Sunset Fairy Wrasse will eat frozen feeder shrimp and flakes and pellets. They are a beautiful fish, but can sometimes exhibit aggression. Overall they are a great addition to most tanks.
