The Sleepy Sponge Crab (Dromia sp.) is an elusive crustacean that scavenges for detritus among the seafloor. They typically have beige or grey colors, matching that of the substrate around them, and also decorate their carapace with encrusting sponges, to help hide from predators or threats. They primarily inhabit caves, some as deep as 350+ feet down. It is known as the "Sleepy Crab" due to its sluggish movements. They are scavengers, and will likely accept most marine foods.
