Scolymia Vitensis Coral, Scolymia sp., is also known as Button Coral, Doughnut Coral, Artichoke Coral, or Disk Coral. This specimen comes from the Solomon Islands and ranges in color from browns, oranges, reds, blues, greens, yellows, and purples - most often they are tan or orange. The fleshy polyps of the mantle have a distinctive concentric circular structure. Scolymia Vitensis is a great reef coral. There should be ample space between it and other corals to prevent any tentacles from harming other corals. Scolymia Vitensis thrives in tanks with moderate lighting, moderate waterflow, and placed in the middle of the tank. This LPS coral is hardy and can be feed a supplemental of most meaty or flaky aquarium foods.
