The Pink Damsel, Chrysiptera rex, also known as the King Damsel, King Demoiselle, and Pink Demoiselle have pink bodies with a blue/purple face. In the wild they are found both as individuals and in groups. They are omnivorous and will feed on algae, pellets, and frozen meaty foods. The Pink Damsel is well suited to a reef community tank if the tank is large enough to accommodate multiple fishes, if not it may become territorial. The Pink Damsel also prefers to have live open rock formations for it to hide. The Pink Damsel can be quite a lovely tank fish because it is hardy, eats almost anything, and will trend towards the non-aggressive side of the continuum if held in a large enough tank (100 gallons), though they can be held in smaller tanks (30 gallons).
