The Peppermint Shrimp, Lysmata wurdemanni, also known as Veined Shrimp and the Caribbean Cleaner Shrimp, is a staple in the marine aquarium industry. They are proficient eliminators of pesty Aiptasia making them highly useful and desirable. Featuring a sleek light pink body with small red stripes, the Peppermint Shrimp are completely reef safe and reclusive in nature. Found mostly in the Atlantic Ocean, the Peppermint Shrimp has extended eyes and a pair on antennae that it uses to avoid predation. These shrimp will often completely shed their exoskeleton, called molting - this is not unusual behavior. Overall, the Peppermint Shrimp is one of the most useful and popular shrimp species out there due to its incredible ease of care and beneficial nature in the home aquarium.

They are actually a good size. They are neat to watch when they aren’t hiding.

Peppermint Shrimp are an excellent and affordable way to add some colorful shrimp to any aquarium. They are very hardy for shrimp, and although they remain hidden a good bit of the time, they will come out when the aquarium lights go out, and can be seen "dancing" as they sway from side to side together.

Fun shrimp to watch. Mine like to hang out in the crevices in the rock. Both acclimated well and shed their exoskeletons within one week of being in the tank!

Aiptasia eater! I added this shrimp to my tank 2 weeks ago and he is a great functional addition. Within one week, he ate all my Aiptasia-Something I have been trying to do (unsuccessfully) for over a year with additives, etc! I say he is a functional addition, because you really won't see him unless you look really hard and find his hiding spot in a crevice somewhere. He doesn't come out for regular viewing, even at feeding time. These are cheap to buy and a great staple to have in your tank, with no extra effort required.

I bought this package x 2 so received 4 shrimp. They arrived alive and in good shape. The box was well packed and included a heat pack. All the critters were nice and warm when I unpacked them. I used the drip method to acclimate them then added them to my tank. They are still doing fine as of today.
