The Onyx Picasso Clownfish, Amphiprion percula, is an aquacultured variation of the Percula clownfish combining the Picasso banding patterns with the Onyx coloration to form a visually stunning specimen. The Onyx Picasso has almost complete coverage of irregular white bars and banding with dark black accents along the bands and fins. These contrast with the very little exposed orange colors to make a spectacular and unique clownfish that will certainly be a talking point in your tank. It is clear that this species lives up to its name "Picasso" as it is truly a piece of art.

The Onyx Picasso Clown is hardy, reef safe, easy to care for, and only requires a tank of 30 gallons making it a perfect beginner or nano tank fish. They will readily accept an anemone as a host as well. They eat an omnivorous diet including brine and mysis shrimp, flakes and pellets, and varied crustaceans.

The Onyx Picasso Clownfish, like many other aquacultured clownfish receive grades on their banding patterns. A Grade A fish is the most spectacular in its variation, banding, and coloration. These are the prized specimens that are often the centerpieces of many tanks. For the case of the Onyx Picasso Clown this means the clown will have most spectacular curves, strokes, and banding patterns. Grade B fish exhibit many of the same qualities as Grade A fish just to a lesser extent. They will still have beautiful wavy bands but they may not connect. A Grade C fish will be just the same with possibly less wavy and beautiful lands. The grades have nothing to do with the fish's health, simply their visual appearance.

Beautiful and peaceful happy fish! They are doing great! We are very happy with our purchase. We have had them for 10 days and they are thriving.
