The Maculosus Angelfish, Pomacanthus maculous, is also known as the Yellowbar Angelfish, Yellow-band Angelfish, or Blue Moon Angelfish. It features a deep royal blue body with a thick yellow vertical band. It also has an elongated dorsal fin.
The Maculosus Angelfish is best kept:
- in a tank of at least 150 gallons with plenty of live rock
- away from fleshy corals, clam mantles, and sessile inverts
- fed a varied omnivorous diet of spirulina, algae, and meaty frozen foods
- housed away from other predatory fish and other angelfish
The Maculosus Angel is easy to care for, hardy, and a great angelfish for beginner aquarists.
