A Juvenile Crescent Tail Fairy Wrasse is a bit different from an adult wrasse. It looks quite similar like a C. lanceolatus. It features a long, beautiful lancet-shaped caudal fin. Desired by many aquarists and avid wrasse collectors, these male wrasses are found in the Okinawa, Ogasawara, Izu, Bonin and the Kochi regions. An adult Crescent Tail Fairy Wrasse is easy to identify for its unique flashing attitude. A male wrasse will flash colors like yellow and orange in fading manner with few hints of inky black, reddish gold and blue finnage.
