It requires very consistent water quality, without variation,as it cannot hold stress for a long time. The Bluefin Lionfish is commonly referred to as Blackfoot Lionfish, or Blackfoot Firefish.  The Bluefin Lionfish thrives well in a temperature range of 75-82 degrees Fahrenheit. The Bluefin Lionfish is not reef safe and mainly found eating crustaceans, small benthics fishes, thus it is best not to keep it in a reef aquarium. The Bluefin Lionfish features electric blue broken bands on its pectoral fins to retreat or confuse predators. Be careful while handling this Bluefin Lionfish, since it is venomous and inflicts painful wounds if it comes in contact with the skin.
