The White Anemone Crab, Neopetrolisthes maculatus, feature a characteristic white body with various purple spots. They are peaceful, reef safe, and easy to care for. Often, they will form a symbiotic relationship with an anemone so long as they are kept in a well-established reef tank. It can sometimes be aggressive towards other crabs and can be particularly territorial if it feels threatened. The White Anemone Crab feeds primarily on algae, detritus, and scavengers for various other microflora and fauna.
These little crabs are are my favorite…lots of personality..and they're quite friendly…Mine already allow me to pick them up without much fuss….the fans they wave to filter feed are fascinating would;d recommend to any reefer…...
A real character! He immediately found a cove in my live rocks and latched onto the top of it. Hanging upside down, he hangs out there waving his claws. A very welcome, entertaining and healthy addition to my tank.
My anemone crabs are super cute and very active. They have helped with me algae problems and I'm extremely happy with my purchase and plan on getting more in the future.
I can watch this guy for hours.
